GENERAL INFORMATION AND BOOKING CONDITIONS

BOOKING OPTIONS AND PROCEDURES

1. a) After the reservation is made a 25% deposit must be paid by the client.

b) Upon receiving the deposit Altman Villa Rentals shall confirm the booking and forward its receipt and an invoice showing the balance outstanding on the rental to the client.

c) Payment of the balance on the rental must be received 60 days prior to the client’s arrival if the booking is made during the Winter Season or 30 days prior to his arrival if the booking is made during the Summer Season. 

d) Upon receiving the final payment for the booking Altman Villa Rentals shall forward to the client its receipt confirming payment. 

2. In the event that the deposit is not made into its office by the designated date, Altman Villa Rentals reserves the right to release or cancel the said reservation. 

3. Where a reservation is made less than a month from the date of the intended stay in the villa, full and final payment must be received into the office of Altman Villa Rentals prior to the arrival of the guests.

 4. During the Christmas period a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a reservation. The balance is thereafter due 60 days prior to the arrival of the guests and is also non-refundable. 

CANCELATION POLICY 

5. The following cancellation policy applied to all reservations:

6. Refunds made by Altman Villa Rentals for cancelations shall be made less foreign exchange loss and finance charges.

 7. Cancellation insurance should be purchased by the client and/or the guests to cover the cost of any loss resulting from a cancelation due to unforeseen circumstances. 

8. a) In the event that Altman Villa Rentals is unable to provide the specific accommodation contracted for, alternative accommodation shall be offered to the client and his guests. In so far as it is possible Altman Villa Rentals shall seek to provide alternative accommodate that is of equal value to that which was originally contracted. 

b) Where the alternative accommodation shall be of a lesser valuethan the villa originally contracted, Altman Villa Rentals shall provide the client with a refund equivalent to the difference in price. 

c) Where the alternative accommodation shall be of a higher value than the villa originally contracted, the client shall pay the difference to Altman Villa Rentals within fifteen (15) days of the acceptance of the alternative accommodation by the client. 

d) Where the alternative accommodation is not acceptable to the client, Altman Villa Rentals agrees to provide the client with a refund of all monies paid by the client and the client agrees to accept this payment as full and final settlement of his loss. Thereafter Altman Villa Rentals shall be deemed free of all obligations to this client. 

9. Altman Villa Rentals accepts payments by way of Bank Drafts, Wire transfers ore credit card payments.

10. In the event of a last minute booking the client must providea credit card number together with card holder name and expiry date. 

11. All bank charges arising from the transfer of funds are payable by the client. 

DAMAGE 

12. The client hereby agreed to provide Altman Villa Rentals with credit card details, which shall be used in substitution of a security deposit, as a guarantee for payment of any damages, outstanding bills or miscellaneous charges caused by the client and/or his guests. 

13. The client shall immediately report to Altman Villa Rentals any damage caused by himself of his guests during his stay. 

14. The client shall agree to pay for all damages to the property and/or its contents (fair wear and tear excepted) within 48 hours of reporting the damage. 

15. Altman Villa Rentals shall provide the client with the credit card receipt and an itemised list of all charges made to the credit card. 

TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT 

16. Altman Villa Rentals may terminate the agreement for the use of a villa by a guest in the event that: 

(a) the guest or his invitee behaves in a manner which constitutes nuisance; 
(b) the guest or his invitee behaves in a manner which in the opinion of Altman Villa Rentals is likely to cause damage to the villa or any of the fixtures or fittings in that villa; 
(c) the guest or his invitees behaves in a manner which is physically or verbally abusive towards the staff, other guests or residents; 
(d) the guest or his invitee behave in a manner which renders it impossible or unreasonable for Altman Villa Rentals to continue to provide any of the services to the villa or to the guest or his invitee; 
(e) the guest or his invitee behaves in any manner which is not consistent with the fit and proper use of the villa; 
(f) it is found that the property is being used for public and/or commercial activities; 
(g) it is found that the property is being used for illegal activities; 
(h) the guest or his invitee sub-lets or assigns his rental of the villa to a third party; or 
(i) there is over occupancy without prior arrangement. 

17. In the event that the contract is terminated for any of the abovementioned reasons the guest is not entitled to receive a refund. 

SERVICE CHARGE 

18. The client shall pay a 15% service charge together with 17.5% VAT for all incidentals, inclusive of but not limited to, food packages, any rental equipment, airport taxi transfers and anything else pre-arranged for their arrival. 

19. Altman Villa Rentals shall accept payment for these incidentals by cash, American Express, Visa or MasterCard credit cards. ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES 

20. Check out time is 12 noon. 

21. Check in time is 3pm. 

22. Where guests have a late departure and new guests are checkingin on the same day, Altman Villa Rentals will need to have guests depart at 12 noon to prepare for the incoming arrival. 

23. Clients may choose to schedule a late departure, which carries a departure fee that ranges from USD250.00 to USD500.00 depending on the villa booked. 

JURISDICTION& DISPUTES 

1. The aforementioned terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Barbados. 

2. In the event that there is a dispute with regard to any aspect of the service provided, which cannot be resolved amicably or with the use of mediation, such dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Barbados courts.
