COVID-19 Barbados Update
After seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases over the first couple of months of 2021, Barbados has been able to bring its numbers down to a more comfortable level. The country reopened for business on March 15th, 2021 but remains under a night-time curfew from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am. The Government continues to monitor the situation closely, with strict protocols in place that are continually being adjusted as the situation changes. Barbados also began its COVID-19 Vaccination program in February which is expected to go a long way in keeping the virus in check.
Barbados Travel Protocols
The Government of Barbados has updated its travel protocols required for entry to the country as it continues to manage the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and protect its citizens and visitors alike. As a result, due to the global ongoing vaccination process, there have been a few changes to the quarantine and COVID-19 testing processes.
All travellers are also required to complete an electronic Immigration and Customs Form, which must be submitted 24 hours before departure along with the negative test result. The immigration and Customs form can be accessed here.
Full details of the travel protocols can be accessed here.
Health & Safety Protocols
As we seek to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our loyal guests and valued employees, we have implemented mandatory temperature screening of villa staff on arrival for work. Also, all staff are required to wear a face mask when interacting with guests.
To better serve and protect you, we have retrained our staff per the Barbados government-regulated protocols and equipped them with Covid-19 literature for their ease of reference. We have also posted reminders of how to maintain good hygiene in visible areas. Should someone display any Covid-19 symptoms, there is a designated quarantine room where our staff will execute the emergency drill.
For ease of convenience, we have included the COVID-19 hotline in a list of emergency numbers. Also, we have equipped all our villas with hand sanitizing stations, introduced COVID-19 kits that contain disposable face masks (initial stock), gloves, rubbing alcohol, thermometer, cotton balls and Panadols and provided a fully stocked First Aid Kit.
As a safety precaution, back to back bookings will not be allowed. Daily, we have increased the routine cleaning and sanitizing of each villa; particularly high contact surfaces. We have also provided staff with all the Personal and Protective Equipment (PPE) required to stay safe and minimize exposure or transmission of virus when doing the cleaning.
